the client
Chattanooga-based law firm Stern & Williams, PLLC approached me in late 2017 to design and develop the website for their new firm. Stern, a former judge, and Williams, a former prosecutor, founded Stern & Williams together the prior year, and though their client list was growing, they didn’t feel their website was leading to the amount of conversions they had envisioned for their first years of operation.
the need
For this project, I took on the full development and design of the website. The client had a logo created that they were happy with so I decided to base the color scheme off of their logo and colors I found in their updated headshots. Because we were shooting new photos, I also coordinated with the photographer directly so that we were all on the same page. Because this is a law website, it had some specific requirements: (1) It had to have plentiful and easily accessible contact forms, (2) it had to clearly express who Stern & Williams are as people and professionals, and (3) it had to be an educational resource for people who would be looking for an attorney.
the result
This website was my first project as a professional freelancer, and I was relieved to see how pleased my clients were. To create this site, I deeply researched every aspect of the types of law they practice, and I built pages that were readable and easy to navigate despite the huge amount of information required for the site’s educational resources. I also included in depth FAQs and testimonials to showcase their thoroughness in providing the client with all the information they’ll need. The result was an SEO rich website that drove conversions and lead to a significant increase in potential clients contacting their office.
