One of our clients at Delphi is the founder of International Beverage Competitions and its blog The Alcohol Professor. I’ve done many different things for IBC- from social media marketing to stepping in as the acting Editor in Chief for a month while they transitioned to a new EIC. On the publicity side, I do weekly press outreach for IBC & The Alcohol Professor through the communications & PR platform Cision.

 

the need

Press outreach for this client serves several purposes. The IBC includes several individual competitions for wine, beer, cider, spirits, and even cheese! We are consistently sending out emails of IBC winners by state to food & beverage outlets and freelance journalists, and we also will send out announcements of timely articles on the Alcohol Professor. Recently, we sent out an eblast for an article on Super Bowl drink pairings that generated a 24.3% open rate and a 2.9% click rate.
