the client
As the content strategist of Delphi Strategic Marketing & Design, I develop and create all written creative content for our 40+ clients as well as Delphi itself. Among our clients is one of the leading interior designers in New York City, Francis Interiors. Francis got his start in NYC as a dancer on Broadway, and he imbues that precision and flair in his design work as well.
For this email, I created an eblast that announced Francis’s most recent interior redesign in the West Village while driving conversions to contact the client. This email had a few specific purposes: (1) a publicity announcement, (2) an eblast with a high open rate, and (3) a call to action to drive business.
the need
For this assignment, I was tasked with writing an announcement eblast for Francis Interiors featuring his latest remodel in the West Village. The goal of the email was to announce his work and create conversions through a call to action button at the bottom of the email. I was provided with the photos and videos of the remodel so that I could create a piece that highlights specific aspects of the redesign while encouraging customers to contact the client.
the focus
My first priority when writing for a company with such a strong brand is to rise to their level and match their voice. When writing for Francis, I know I need to write in a tone that clearly conveys the information of the copy while expressing a deep adoration of aesthetic and beauty. Writing succinctly yet luxuriously is a fun challenge, and I really enjoyed writing with the images/videos in mind.
the result
As I wrote the copy, I went through the album of photos and videos provided with the assignment so that I could write copy that interacted directly with the images. I chose the images included in the email by keeping in mind aesthetic, weight, and flow. In the end the email has beautiful movement, and the copy pairs well with the videos and images of the remodel. Francis was very happy with this email, and it went into design with the first draft of the copy I turned in.
